There are several benefits to the 3DMT training program. It concentrates on the neuromuscular system and as a result the exercise intensity is, generally, much lower than typical resistance training. We say generally, because we have had people dripping with sweat without lifting so much as a single weight. This is not typical, but has occurred. One way that this benefits the exerciser is that they never really have to wait for an exercise machine or piece of equipment to become available if someone else is using it. Most of the resistance used is your own body weight, and in some case that’s more than enough.
Another benefit of neuromuscular training is that because the resistance used is less, the potential risk of injury is greatly reduced. The risk of injury during training increases as the resistance used increases.
A final benefit is that performance can also improve significantly without high intensity training techniques. A retired NBA player increased his vertical jump by 13″ and an injured swimmer set personal best times at league and regional meets.
